Easter

Easter started for Meg on Thursday. I took her to school and when we walked into the classroom two for her friends came running up to tell her that the Easter bunny had come to the class overnight and left eggs. The kids were giddy with excitement. Avery told Meg to check her shoes because the other kids had found eggs in them. Meg looked at me with both excitement and dread on her face. She had been told by her parents for days that if she wasn't good the Easter bunny wouldn't come. She walked over to her shoes and slowly pulled them down. When she saw one Easter egg in her shoe she was SO excited!!!! I think she was relieved :)
We also had a wonderful Easter weekend filled with friends, family and food! The Bennett Family came and stayed with us which was nice. We did Easter crafts and had an Easter egg hunt on a very brisk morning. The Easter bunny also came to our house on Easter Sunday then we had a nice brunch with grandparents. All-in-all a nice long holiday weekend.

The end result - beautiful eggs and a few scary looking bunnies that the parents had to help with :)

On the search - they were blind with excitement, running past so many eggs. We were still finding them two days later!

Meg loves going in the flower beds to pick the flowers, but this time she was picking up an egg!

Easter Sunday morning, Meg on an Easter egg hunt at our house. Her favourite book right now is "The Easter Egg Disaster". She was thrilled that the Easter Bunny hid her eggs in the same places as in the story!

The Easter Bunny brought Meg a scooter. By Monday she was going so fast on it we had to practically jog to keep up!
