Learning to use a spoon
Meg is learning to use a spoon and wants a 'poon' for herself every time we eat. Yesterday Miriam was brave enough to let Meg try eating a bowl of soup for lunch on her own. She did a pretty good job and quickly learned she didn't need a spoon at all!

Giddy Up!
I remember the first time I took Meg to a program at the library she was about 4 months old. The adults sang and read books while the babies watched us.
A short 12 months later times have really changed! Now Meg not only gets excited to go to the library but she participates and sometimes even goes to sit on other moms laps. Yesterday Miriam, grandma and Meg went to the library and now it is the adults sitting and watching.

Pippy Long Stockings? Not yet...
Growing up I loved doing my dolls hair in beautiful bows and braids. Having a daughter should be like having a real life doll! We have been waiting for Meg's hair to grow long enough for months. Every other part of her has been growing like a weed but her hair is taking its time - I can't wait any longer!
Next time you see Meg she may be sporting a few pigtails/antlers that you won't be able to quite see until she is up close, but they are adorable nonetheless!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
Meg is definitely her mother's daughter - she loves the snow! Now that she is walking it is so much fun to take her outside to play in the snow. She loves it so much that she typically has a fit and cries when it is time to go back inside :) Here are some pictures of Meg enjoying the white stuff.

Happy New Year
We hope everyone had a great time ringing in 2011! We spent the week between Christmas and New Year's in Whistler with the Gibson side of the family. Meg spent lots of quality time with her four cousins, all who were eager to teach her new things. While we were away she started saying "Hi!", "ball", "whatz diz", and she tried really hard to say "Maxx" but instead said "Maaa". She is still eagerly trying to walk and took a lot of steps while we were away and found whatever she could to push around and walk behind. Meg also had all four of her molars break through while we were away so it was an eventful Meg week.
Below are some pictures of our trip:

Happy Holidays!
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We had a lot of fun with Meg yesterday. There were a lot of "ooohh's" and "wow's" from her as she saw what Santa brought. We had a great time and were able to spend Christmas with family which was nice.
It is amazing how much she has grown in a year. I think the shot of Meg beside her stocking will become an annual picture so we can see how much she has grown.

Here comes Santa Claus!
Meg met Santa for the first time this weekend at Jen and Shaun's Christmas party! She wasn't sure when she first saw jolly old Saint Nick but she sat on his lap without any tears. She knows where her bread is buttered :)
