Today was a big day for Meg! We woke up to the first snowfall and were outside playing by 7:50am! She was adamant we needed to make a snowman and snow angels before breakfast. We then took her to the mall to see Santa Claus. Leading up to this she was VERY exciting. She has told us many times that she likes him this year. She was all smiles and full of excitement until she saw him - then she completely froze and we literally had to drag her to see him. By the end of the visit she warmed up to him. See how the story unfolded...

Happy Halloween!
Keeping with the Woody theme from Meg's birthday, Meg HAD to be Woody for Halloween. Thank you to Hayden for his costume! Meg was also quite adamant on what mommy and daddy would dress-up as - daddy = Buzz Lightyear and mommy = Jesse also from Toy Story. Lucky for Nathan I found an adult sized Buzz costume for him. Oh the things we do for our children...
Meg was definitely more into Halloween this year. When she went trick-or-treating she went up to each house without hesitation and kept asking "can I go to another house?" We made it around the block and he ghost bag was full. All in all a great night.

Meg Turns 3!
Our little girl is officially 3 today - very hard to believe! She told me today that now that she is 3 she likes tomatoes, which as a two-year-old she hated. She also told me she is almost an adult now and big like me...very cute.
She did have a great birthday. It began Saturday with a birthday party at Chudleigh's Apple Farm and today we had a nice family dinner at home. All in all a great 3rd birthday I think!

Meg's Pre-school Field Trip
Last Friday Meg went on a field trip to a pumpkin patch with her pre-school. Last Friday was also Miriam's last official day as Meg's nanny. It was nice that Miriam was able to go on the field trip with her. They had a fun morning and a great last day together after 2.5 years!

A Day at the African Lion Safari
Maxx flew back to Vancouver on Monday after 5 months in Ontario and we miss him already. We spent his last full day here at African Lion Safari where he and Meg had lots of fun. Luckily no pieces of my car were taken by the monkey's this time!

Meg Say's Goodbye to her Crib
For months we have been talking to Meg about saying goodbye to her crib and moving her into a 'big girl bed'. She was never keen on the idea so I thought taking her shopping for a new bed would do it. We headed to Home Hardware on a Monday, picked a bed and Friday of the same week it was delivered. She was not excited until the day it came and she helped daddy take apart her old bed that morning. Since then she has come to love her bed and has even had her first sleep over!

Hello new bed! She is using the same quilt mommy had on her bed when she was little |
First sleepover was with auntie Marnie - it lasted about an hour before Marnie came downstairs until Meg fell asleep and then went back to bed :) |

Bissell Hideaway
A few weekends ago we went to Bissell Hideaway and had a great time. It is paradise for kids - great water park, pool, paddle boats, mini golf, crafts and lots of room to runaround. Both Meg and Maxx told us they prefer 'camping' in a cabin like we did at Bissell's better than a tent. Surprise, surprise!

The water park was perfect for little kids. They could run and play for hours. |

Maxx loved Jen and Kevin's dog Sally. None of our camping trips would be complete without her! |

Camping Fun
It has been a while since I have made a post, but we are back up and running!
This past weekend we had our 4th annual camping trip with the Turner's and we had a great time. Here are some pics from the fun we had.

We ended the weekend with lunch out on the way home. Meg and Daddy posed for a final camping trip spot. |

Countdown to Easter
With Easter only 3 weeks away, we decorated and dyed Easter eggs last night. It was Meg's first time and she had a lot of fun dipping and dipping and re-dipping the eggs over and over.

Learning to Ski!
We are very excited to get Meg out skiing this year and be able to start skiing as a family. Our goal for this year is to take her out five times and to let her have fun, with the plan to put her in lessons next year when she is 3. Well we have gone twice so far and she does love it but I am starting to think she likes the french fries and hummus at the end more!
Here is a pic from our ski day yesterday. She was tired right from the beginning and slept for 3 hours when we got home. She screams "weeee" as we go down and "I go fast!" Mommy and daddy's legs pay the price and we sleep well after too!

Don't worry, she isn't hurt. She is just tired :) |
